Celebrating 34 years of Services & Programs to the Elders of the Community The Mission of the Salvatore Mancini Resource & Activity Center is to provide programs and services to Enhance, Enrich, & Educate the elders of our community; and to act as a community resource to elders and their families.
Dear Friends,
Join us as we celebrate “Senior Centers – Your Place to Connect”, the theme of this year’s National Senior Center month. When it comes to finding tools for staying healthy and involved or information about various benefits, the Mancini Center is the place to start.
A host of activities have been planned from healthy chair massage and flu clinics, to Family Portrait Day, to our “Annual Celebration of Age Luncheon” scheduled on September 17th. Join us at this annual luncheon as we honor all members 90 years of age and older. This is an inspirational event that you do not want to miss.
The Center will also hold our “3rd Annual Pasta Dinner”, sponsored by Stephen Palmieri and Palmieri’s Bakery on Sunday, September 19th. Please purchase your tickets in advance for this event.
On Saturday, September 11th at 6:00 PM we will sponsor an evening Bingo. Evening Bingo will be held the second Saturday of each month at 6:00 PM. Please purchase your ticket in advance for this event, as seating is limited.
Many of our participants are excited to share their skills and talents with others. If you are interested in sharing your skills or talents, please contact me or Linda Giorgio to discuss the many volunteer opportunities available at the Center and ways you may contribute to our success.
Have a safe and relaxing Labor Day – an appropriate celebration of our nation’s work force with an end-of-summer day off! Enjoy!
